General Accountability

‍ ‍

The Chehalis Store Supervisor supports the Chehalis Store Manager in the daily operations of the Chehalis Store & Gas. The Chehalis Store Supervisor leads the floor during assigned shifts, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining clean and organized merchandising, supporting staff training and scheduling and ensuring safe and compliant fuel and store operations. The Chehalis Store Supervisor assists with administrative duties including inventory controls, deposits, communications, and month-end tasks. The role reflects Moytelexw ("always helping one another") by building a positive team environment.

The Chehalis Store Supervisor reports directly to the Chehalis Store Manager.

‍ ‍

Qualifications and Requirements

‍ ‍

1.    Grade 12 education or 1 to 2 years of retail experience

‍ ‍

·         An equivalent amount of education combined with lived experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis

‍ ‍

2.    Supervisory experiences are required

‍ ‍

3.    Current First Aid and WHMIS are considered assets

‍ ‍

4.    Strong customer service, communication, teamwork, integrity, and conflict management skills.

‍ ‍

5.    Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize multiple forms of technology including, but not limited to, POS, lottery terminal, fuel dispensing equipment, debit machine, printer/copier, ATM, computer/back office

‍ ‍

6.    Demonstrated ability to manage workplace hazards and utilize tools and procedures, including, but not limited to, utilizing an emergency spill kit and adhering to safety procedures.

‍ ‍

7.    Ability to manage time effectively and follow instructions/ procedures as well as being able to multi- task effectively. 

‍ ‍

8.    Excellent communication skills and willingness to work individually as well as part of a team

‍ ‍

9.    A desire to grow with the company.

‍ ‍

10. Strong work ethic, integrity and punctuality

‍ ‍

11. Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License is required.

‍ ‍

Type of Position:  12 Month Fixed Term (May lead to Full-Time employment) – this position is subject to a 3-month probationary period
