General Accountability
The Sasq’ets Basket Prep Cook/Dishwasher is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Sasq’ets Basket kitchen by supporting the completion of basic food preparation, service support and cleaning and sanitation duties to ensure a safe, well stocked and guest ready environment is maintained.
The Sasq’ets Basket Prep Cook/ Dishwasher is responsible for assisting with the food quality and quantity for all café and catering services.
This position will work to maintain superior client service while adhering to and supporting the Moytelexw (Sts’ailes Development Corporation) customer service vision.
The Sasq’ets Basket Prep Cook/ Dishwasher reports directly to the Sasq’ets Basket Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
1. Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
· An equivalent amount of education and lived experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis
2. 1 to 2 years of work experience in customer service, hospitality, food service or closely related industry is preferred
3. Current, valid Food Safe, WHMIS and First Aid certifications are an asset
4. Strong customer service, communication and teamwork skills are required.
5. Ability to manage time effectively and follow instructions/ procedures.
6. Basic computer skills such as the Microsoft Office suite of programs as well as Square is considered an asset
7. Excellent communication skills and willingness to work individually as well as part of a team
8. Ability to communicate effectively with guests
9. A desire to grow with the company.
10. Strong work ethic, integrity and punctuality
11. Valid class 5 BC driver’s license or reliable transportation to work
